Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how Smalti Studio LLC handles information in connection with the Crumb app. The short version: Crumb keeps your cooking data on your device, and the only outside services we use are for in-app purchases and (for free users) advertising.

The short version. Your pantry, favorites, and shopping lists are stored on your device — we don't collect or see them. No account required. Purchases run through Apple; free-tier ads run through Google AdMob.

1. Information we collect

Information stored on your device

The ingredients you enter, your pantry selections, your favorite recipes, and your shopping lists are stored locally on your device and are not transmitted to us. You can erase them at any time by clearing the app's data or deleting the app.

Purchase information

Premium purchases are processed by Apple through your App Store account — we never receive your payment card details. We use RevenueCat to verify your subscription or purchase status via a randomly generated, anonymous identifier (not your name, email, or Apple ID).

Advertising information (free version)

If you use the free version, ads are served by Google AdMob, which may collect a device advertising identifier, coarse location from IP address, device information, and ad-interaction data. On iOS we request your permission through Apple's App Tracking Transparency prompt before any tracking that requires it; if you decline, you'll see non-personalized ads. Premium users see no ads.

Information you send us

If you email us for support, we receive what you include so we can respond.

2. How we use information

To provide the app's core features — matching recipes, saving favorites, building shopping lists.
To process and restore in-app purchases.
To display and measure advertising in the free version.
To respond to support requests and improve the app.

3. Third-party services

4. Your choices

Ad tracking. Decline the App Tracking Transparency prompt, or change tracking settings any time in your device's Settings.
Go ad-free. Purchasing premium removes ads entirely.
Delete your data. Clearing the app's data or deleting the app removes what's stored on your device.

5. Data retention

Data stored on your device remains until you remove it. Purchase records are retained by Apple and our purchase provider as needed to manage entitlements and meet legal obligations.

6. Children's privacy

Crumb is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

7. International users

Crumb is operated from the United States. Information involved in providing the app may be processed in the United States and other countries.

8. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. We'll revise the "Last updated" date above when we do.
